Next Wednesday, February 1, at 10 o’clock the conference ‘The art of layout and the adventures of a satellite study’ will be holding at the Auditorium of the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi (EASDAlcoi) by Álex Gómez, professor at the EASDAlcoi, who before dedicating itself to the teaching had a study of animation.
At the conference, Álex Gómez will underline how important is the pre-production task in an animation project, thanks to his proven experience in this sector with the work developed in his company Negro Graphics. Specifically during his career in the studio he worked with projects for BRB International, Cartoon Prod., Neptune Films, Chromosome, etc.
The talk will serve for Gómez to offer all attendees their particular vision on the steps of pre-production, emphasizing the importance of layout. In addition, he will talk about the work in commercial productions, in which the workflow is developed from “satellite studies”, specialized in a specific aspect of the animation.
Among the works that stand out Álex Gómez is the layout of The Triplets, as well as the adaptation of characters, storyboards and layouts for the Babalà series.
