Students of interior design are finalists in a contest organized by Cevisama

Last Tuesday the students of Interior Design visited the Cevisama International Fair, leader in the ceramic sector, where they also participated in the Design of Bathroom contest in which the finalists were the 2nd graders of this specialty Alejandro López, Estela Semper, Sara Revert, Sandra Sánchez, Vicent Soler, Caridad García, Jessica Ribera and Andra Voda. Each project has its own vision of how the bathroom should be from a contemporary point of view.

The visit began with the analysis of three spaces located in the entrance hall to the fair, in order to make a spatial understanding of them. It was about three structures resolved in ceramics that showed different spatial configurations whose the peculiarity lays in what each of them establishes a different relationship with the inhabitant of space.

From the tour in the different pavilions, the most interesting to our students was the space dedicated to the first subjects where the most advanced technology was shown, which allows an optimum quality in the process of digital printing of the pieces, achieving with this a high level of reality in the reproduction of textures.

In addition, the students were able to discover the work done by a leading architect within the field of architecture and interior design, such as the prestigious Rafael Moneo, who presented his latest projects, among which is Bodega J. Palacios, where he establishes a dialogue between the constructed work and the landscape.

The students, thanks to this visit, have been able to see what are the trends in ceramic products, which currently tend to a homogeneity of the product with neutral tones, the proliferation of imitations of metal and wood textures; as well as a great subtlety in the finishing touch.
