On October 26th, the students of Fashion Design Degree, within the activities programmed in the sustainable fashion subject, visited the facilities of the textile recycling company Texlimca.
The factory, located in Alzira, allowed the students to take a closer look at the processes that are carried out when textile waste is recycled. This trip also helped to ratify the existing collaboration agreement between Texlimca and EASDAlcoi.
Thanks to this agreement the students will make prototypes from second-hand garments which value will be incremented and therefore, re-included in the fashion cycle for a new use.
Six different looks will be materialized and exhibited in the Texlimca and Asirtex (Iberian Textile Recycling Association) stands at the next Valencia Eco-Fair, the most important international contest of environmental solutions held in Spain.
