The Fashion Design Project “Conexiones 4”,which took place in Xàtiva, has been a success according to the organizers.

On October 5th ‘La Colectiva’ of Xàtiva hosted the exhibition, the meeting and the clothes bartering market  Conexiones 4, which was attended by: Manel Garcia, director of the Institute for Artistic Studies in the Land of Valencia; ISEACV; Jordi Estellés, Xàtiva’s Culture Councillor and Pilar Blasco, principal of EASDAlcoi.

The Fashion Design research group, Commitment and Good Practice, has been the promoter of the project that is framed within the research line ‘Emotional durability vs. Material durability’. Desamparados Pardo Cuenca is the main investigator in collaboration with EASDAlcoi teachers Patrik Baldan and Diana Ortiz.

The organizers highlight the fact that the exhibition, the meeting and the clothes bartering were “a success” for the presence and interest of both  senior executives and politicians, besides the positive response of people who came and participated in the event. Some of the objectives of the action were to analyze social, emotional and identity factors that create clothing and promote sustainability in our consumption.

“We want Conexiones 4 to continue evolving and involving as many people as possible for new and future editions” said Patrik from the research group. In order to obtain “Its maximum achievement”, they aim to “reeducate people through arousing their awareness and compromising them in the practice of an eco-efficient fashion system, which is the only way out to safeguard our planet state of health”, he concluded.
