The students of 2n of Fashion Design of the Escola d’Art i Superior of Disseny d’Alcoi, within the different activities that promotes the subject of footwear, have been able to learn first hand all the necessary phases for the creation of the footwear, thanks to the prestigious company eldense Paco Herrero.
Specifically, this past December 20th our students moved to the offices of this company to live in first person the entire process of creation and manufacture of a shoe, which includes an initial phase of ideation, another of pattern and finally one of assembly of the different pieces that make up the footwear. In addition, students were able to touch the different types of materials, as well as skins, which are commonly used in the footwear industry.
Finally, the day ended with a visit to the footwear museum of Elda, a space that has a varied collection of shoes from all periods and places of the world, which served as inspiration and guide for our students.
