On Friday, November 9th, the prizes of the Fifth Design Contest organized by the EASD Alcoi and ACETEX (Textile Business Association from l’Alcoià and El Comtat counties) were handed over. This competition aims to recognize the talent of the Textile Illustration Degree students, in this case applied to the creation of home products such as curtains, upholstery or rugs and always taking into account the latest trends and design techniques.
Abel Gómez Cuenca received the 600€ first prize for his collection ‘Hive’ followed by Pablo Puig Pérez, who came second and won the 400€ award for his ‘Traditional Sinergy’ artwork.
These design awards have been held since 2013 and from the beginning are meant to strengthen the relationship between the EASDALCOI and the local enterprises through an active interaction in order to create a good synergy between the training and work environments.
