Eurobox awards the creativity and technical knowledge of the Product students

Eurobox, a firm located in Benasau and dedicated to the design and production of promotional and marketing metal packaging, started this past course in collaboration with EASDAlcoi in which 2nd and 3rd of Product Design developed a series of packaging that this September 24th have been awarded.

The proposal focused on working for two potential customers: the english supermarket chain Marks and Spencer and the valencian Mercadona. For them, special boxes had to be made and they would contain Christmas sweets such as chocolates or biscuits.

Once the idea was launched, the students had the opportunity to visit the offices and facilities of the company to be able to learn in detail what manufacturing processes and techniques with which they have worked for more than 20 years.

When the projects were more concreted Eurobox leaders visited the School. The students showed their works and together they introduced improvements and some new approaches to adapt them to the productive reality. At the end of May, the finished designs were delivered.

Eurobox has valued them all and has chosen three as the most outstanding after a difficult deliberation, as explained by the manager of the company Ximo Devesa: ” The vast majority of proposals have been very close to a product that we could manufacture and on a creative level are all a blast. This has created very interesting discussions within our team”.

The first prize of 1500 euros has been for ‘Eurobox Christmas Edition’  by Helena Maestre, Julia Sempere ‘Giram’ has taken the second of 1000 euros and the third award-winning project has been ‘Caja Nieve’  by Silvia Bordera. The delivery has been produced in the auditorium of the School with the presence of Ximo Devesa, the EASDAlcoi director Pilar Blasco and teachers and students of Product speciality.

It should be noted that there has also been a general recognition of the quality of the rest of the work with an amount of 1000 euros that will go towards different acquisitions by the Product Design department. From it they emphasize the importance of initiatives so that students can work directly with the reality of each sector and materalize their projects.
