3rd graders of Fashion Design Workshop of the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi have participated in the wardrobe design of “The Wedding” by Stravinsky, opened on July the 1st in the cloister of the Nau de Valencia (headquarters of the University of Valencia). In this project took part INNOVATORY MOVEMENT, PERKU-VA and UNIVERSITY VALENCIA CHOIR under the scenic direction of Alicia Herrero and the musical direction of Francesc Valldecabres.
This project has been a great opportunity for the students of the EASDAlcoi to participate in the premiere of a work whose demands vindicate and prioritize the equality of women. Specifically, this proposal vindicates the rights of women to choose, to decide their future, to live in equality and freedom as their fellow men. It reflects the social oppression that has been and unfortunately is subject to the woman and wants to represent the liberation of that social and generational burden to which she is subjected solely as a woman.
