Learn how to prepare the final works to be printed

On Friday, May 12th, at 10:30 am, the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi will receive the visit of José Luis Martín, editor, printer and professor, who will focus his presentation on how to prepare the final works to be printed. The presentation will address the different elements to be taken into account when delivering a project to be able to be printed correctly such as format, color mode, resolution of images, margins, typographies or cut marks.

José Luis Martín is editor at Campgràfic, a business proposal dedicated exclusively to typography and publishing. Precisely, the speaker will take the opportunity to bring the book Lletraferits in the first place, with which you can collaborate or buy through the crowdfunding platform, Verkami. Martin participates in this publication with its impression and also with the contribution of one of the 15 articles that are included about design and typography, which are spiced up with poems and stories of Damià Rotger.

The speaker, in addition, also has a facet of printer that develops in MartínGràfic, a company that has 40 years of history, that is why it has witnessed the evolution of lead typography to the digital age, in which we are currently. This press carries different types of work such as self-publishing, posters, exhibition catalogs, comics and fanzines, literary editions, essays, photobooks, corporate identities, artist’s books, advertising material, special products, magazines and thesis, and final works. Some of these works include a DVD packaging for the Generalitat Valenciana, which contains Valencian short films selected for the 30th edition of Goya or the printing of the fanzine Arroz Negro, a publication dedicated to illustration, comic and typography that is characterized by a black humor of marked Valencian character.
