Last weekend the students of the Animation, Illustration and Graphic Design groups of the Escola d’Art i Superior of Disseny d’Alcoi attended the Animac, the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, where they could learn directly from the different works presented by outstanding figures from the world of animation, showing different work materials.
Specifically, Fermín Muguruza, Juanjo Sáez, Juan Ferro and Salvador Simó explained the status of their projects in “En construcción”, a space where the students were supplied with all the material shared by the authors, such as bibles of animations, synopsis, animatics and soundtrack designs.
This 2018 edition has been dedicated to music, so there were organised several activities such as the conference “Así suena Samorost” from Amanita Desing, by the designer of video game soundtracks Floex. And also a masterclass of Normand Roger, composer and sound designer for animated films.
In addition, the exhibition offered an extensive program that included screenings, lectures and masterclasses where our students could see the latest artistic proposals, as well as have close conversations with well-known creators.
