Last Thursday, February 20th, the Product Design specialty visited Gandia Blasco’s factory in Ontinyent. The firm has been dedicated for more than 20 years to the international design of outdoor furniture, although today it has expanded its creative lines to interior products as well.
Thus, they were able to see the different showrooms and facilities of the company to be able to understand the entire manufacturing process of their articles. They focused especially on the development of outdoor lamps as this is the proposal for the creation of the XIV Gandia Blasco International Outdoor Furniture Design Competition in which 2nd and 3rd Product students will participate.
They also visited the factory of one of the brand’s aluminum suppliers and knew all the possibilities and features applied to the design that has this basic and versatile material for outdoor furniture.
