Product students are trained in toy design with AIJU

This week the 3rd and 4th of Product Design students have attended to training days with the Technological Institute for Children’s Product and Leisure (AIJU) located in Ibi. They have received knowledge about different concepts, procedures and materials used in toy design.

The first session took place on Tuesday, October 22th, in the EASDAlcoi and consisted of a first contact with the sector. There was an introduction to toy design, how evolutionary psychology and children’s play need to be kept in mind in the design and trends in its market and consumers.

On Wednesday 23th, the Product students moved at the headquarters of AIJU and there they made a presentation of the Technological Institute and an approximation to the toy’s safety regulations. They also gave information around the accessibility of this product from people with functional diversity and their possibilities in older people.

On Thursday 24th, also at AIJU, the course was about prototyping and manufacturing with plastics and new materials. And there was also talk of how to design with them and work them technically.
