Next Thursday, February 23, the former student of the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi (EASDAlcoi), Inma Saurina, will hold a conference about haute couture, based on her professional experience in which she has been through well known ateliers as Lacroix, John Galliano or Ives Saint Laurent. A few years ago, Saurina created her own firm, which is dedicated to the creation of exclusive couture dresses, regional clothing and cinema costumes.
The lecture “Haute couture is in style” will take place at 12:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the EASDAlcoi. Saurina will explain his career, from his studies in this school to the present, in order to inspire our students and show them that with effort and passion can reach fulfill their dreams. In addition, she will also talk about haute couture, which as the designer says, is now in style, while remarking that it is another way to create art with beautiful sculptures.
Saurina, who after graduating from EASDAlcoi also graduated from the School of Design in Paris, has spent her professional career in the city of light, as well as other fashion capitals such as Milan, Rome, New York or Zurich.
The former student of EASDAlcoi combines her work as a designer with the participation of costumes for musicals and cinema. That is why in 2008 he made the costume of Willy Fog at the Teatro Calderón in Madrid, which won the award for “best musical of Gran Vía de Madrid”. This project was the predecessor of many more musicals and films for great directors.
This year the designer has embarked on a new project together with the gorgeous designer Jean Luc Amsler, with whom Saurina has designed a private parade held at the Hotel Bristol in Paris with a collection inspired by the atmosphere of Federico García Lorca.
