Next Wednesday, March 22th, Francesc Rifé, an internationally awarded interior designer will visit the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi (EASDAlcoi), will give a presentation in the auditorium at the 11 hours and in the afternoon will give a workshop.
The interior and industrial designer will hold the conference “Atmosphere”,an inspirational and very conceptual session, in which we will be talked about non-spaces, lighting, sensations caused by a space, poetry, etc. In other words, aspects that go well beyond the choice of a lining or a finish in an interior.
Later, in the afternoon, there will be a workshop, which is accessed by invitation with an individual cost of € 15. It will develop the investigation in the field of interior design and also provide the final conclusions of the day.
For the interior department it is a real pride to be able to carry out activities of this range that place the EASDAlcoi at the forefront of teaching in the field of interior architecture.
Francesc Rifé
The speaker is an associated professor of this department from the present course, but it is worth to mention his professional career. Rifé ,through his study, directs a team of professionals from different fields of design, who carry out projects of international scope, covering different areas such as interior design, industrial design, creation of concepts, installations, graphics and artistic direction.
Some of its outstanding projects include the refurbishment of well-known shopping centers such as El Triangle or Diagonal Mar, both located in Barcelona or the design of different showrooms for Roca in cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sao Paolo, Miami, Casablanca, Dubai, Doha, Bangkok, Baghdad or Tehran. He has also designed outdoor furniture and several collections of carpets for Gandia Blasco.
His career has been awarded on several occasions with prizes such as the Contract World Awards, Red Dote, Emporia National Ephemeral Architecture Award, ICFF Editors Awards, FAD Awards and several ASCER awards.
