The students of interior design 1st of the Escola d’Art i Superior of Disseny d’Alcoi have started a new habitat project concerning a space, which is llocated in the old town of Alcoi. For the moment, they have established a first contact by the measurement of the room and analyzing its structure.
The pupils highlighted the importance of the materials of the structure of the building, such as the stone in the façade and pillars and the wood in the main beams and joists. These materials make the space true by generating a right balance between that old and that modern. We hope students’ proposals will be able to achieve this kind of sensitivity.
